What’s In A Name? A Whole Lotta Syrup!
I asked my husband this morning what he thought Mrs. Butterworth’s first name is. He said “Mrs.”
The question was apropos of this: the good people who bring us Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup are having a contest for her fans to guess her first name. It’s a guessing game because she apparently has always had a first name. Only a few people know it, though.
This is my kind of contest. I don’t know why, it just is. Maybe because it requires a low skill-set. I will even tell you my guess, because I already entered so if you try to guess it too it’s already taken. So I’m guessin’ Maple. As you can see, I’m a much better guesser than my husband.
Go here to register and guess. The winner will receive $500 and a case of Mrs. Butterworth’s Syrup. I hope I win because I can always use a case of syrup. The $500.00 is not too shabby, either.

Wow! My first celebrity sighting here on Ideas for Frugal Living. Thanks Mrs. Butterworth, I really love your syrup! So I wish myself luck, and all the other guessers out there, too.

This is a great post and makes me think of where I can fit in. I do a little bit of everything mentioned here and I guess I have to find my competitive advantage.

Thanks Wow Gold. I’m glad you liked the post. You must be a Mrs. Butterworth fan, too. We are legion. Anyway, good luck with the contest. It might be over by now, but that’s ok because with a good coupon you can find a sweet deal on her yummy syrup. Have a great day!

Hey, I just checked out the MBW website…did you know her first name ended up being “Joy”? It stands for Jocelyn Opal Yvonne, because her parents couldn’t choose one over the other.
Just thought I’d update your readers. Have a good one!
