Frugal Idea for March 9th, 2009

The Big 1-0-0!

Today is a very special day here at the IdeasforFrugalLiving.com Worldwide Headquarters (er, my house).  Yep, believe it or not we have reached the 100th post milestone.

This is a big deal.  So in keeping with the big-dealness of the day, I thought I would celebrate. As all Frugal bon vivants know, the best way to celebrate an event is with a homemade cake. Here it is:

It’s a Red Velvet cake, made from a box mix I had in my pantry.  No time for scratch, as the Y-chromosome and I worked furiously on our vegetable garden this weekend. More on that later.

I’m not skilled in the cake decorating department, but I think my confection gets it’s point across. Plus, I am of the self-serving opinion that cake yumminess trumps cake appearance.

So enjoy a virtual piece of cake to help celebrate this momentous occasion.  As you’re nibbling, take a looksy at some of the older posts.  Right now, the easiest way to do that is through the Archives at the bottom of the right-hand column.  There are some true gems tucked away in there.

Then gird your frugal loins - here come 100 more!

Yay! It’s a great big blog party! I’m glad you all like the cake. I wish everyone could have a real piece today. Well, it seems like it is pretty tasty. Ok, time to go shovel some dirt in my vegetable-garden-to-be. Have a great Frugal day everyone.
