My Big Blogging Debut

Hello Everyone! With the help and encouragement from my dear husband I am premiering my brand new blog today. As you have already probably surmised, the main focus of this blog will be on frugal living. I know, I know, there are already a million fantastic books, websites, and blogs on the subject, so why do I think I have anything new to offer? Well, I honestly don’t know if I can add any fantastic original insights to the frugal living world, but this is a subject near and dear to my heart plus I really enjoy reading many frugal blogs, so I thought this would be a fun way to connect with some like-minded people. Plus, frugality is FUN and blogging is FUN, so why the heck not!?!

A little background: My name is Tessie and I’m a housewife in a Dallas suburb, no human children (four dogs and 1 cat instead), my husband works in the computer industry, and we are on the verge of moving into a new home. We are both in our thirties and will have been married 13 years this August. We are at the point in our lives when practicing frugality is more of a choice than a matter of survival as it was in our early years together. Being frugal has helped us to achieve many goals important to us- home ownership, education, financial stability, and overall peace of mind. Oh, plus I don’t have to work outside the home anymore. Hooray!

Watch out (frugal) world! Here I come!

P.S. I know that this is a pretty dull looking affair, but my husband the computer GENIUS vowed to pretty it up for me. So please don’t judge this book by it’s very prosaic cover, it will be simply EXPLODING with flair before you know it.
