Going Up!

Well, as all citizens of the Frugalverse know, the price of a first class stamp will rise 2 cents to .44 on Monday.  So now’s your chance to stick it to the (mail) man.

I’m going to try, anyway.  I already have a lot of Forever stamps.  But if you want to stock up on the bargain basement price of .42 per stamp, today and tomorrow are your last chances.

Also, I have a couple of bills that I don’t pay online.  Usually I pay bills every other Friday, to coincide with paydays.  Next Friday happens to be one of those glorious days.  I decided to move bill-paying proceedings up to today just so I can save .02 on that stamp.  Yeah, I know, but .02 is .02.

Plus I’ll feel so happy when payday comes and my bills are already paid.  I know it all works out the same, but the illusion that I get to keep more of my paycheck gives me the warm fuzzies.

This is a good place to try out your Frugal chops, if you’re not Frugal, and you’ve been wanting to eeeeeease into it.  This is simple to do, and doesn’t cost much, but still results in savings.  It’s kind of fun, too, to pretend like your putting one over on a huge (quasi) governmental agency.  I’m not kidding you -try it.  It IS fun!

P.S. I wasted all my stamp savings on going to see the new Star Trek movie last night.  Heh heh, it was worth it, though.  Loved it! I don’t think they had to worry about money in those days.  Lucky.
