Fun Cheap Saturday
Yesterday when we took Sparky to the Vet, he found out she has a heart murmur. I’ve heard of this but I didn’t know what it is. So I asked.
He told me that it means that everytime her heart beats, the valves are failing to close completely the way they should. So they leak blood. He said he rates heart murmurs on a scale of 6, and right now her’s is a 2. But it will probably get worse.
So now I’m glad I bonked Sparky with my recliner. If I hadn’t, who knows when I would’ve taken her to the Vet. She just had her annual check-up in March. Now he knows about this condition, and told me the symptoms to keep an eye out for.
Plus, he gave her some medicine for the recliner smackdown and she is feeling much better. I can tell because she is back to giving her brothers and sisters what-for instead of moping around looking sad. What a relief. Thank goodness I found such a great Vet when I moved to Texas. He’s so calm, and he’s great with animals and people, and always takes the time to explain things in language I can understand. So if you’re ever in North Texas and need a great Vet, give the Stacy Road Pet Hospital in Fairview, Texas a try. His staff is really nice, too. They always call to check on their patients’ progress. I think that is so nice.
Today hubby and I are doing something super fun and CHEAP! One of his friends just took delivery of his brand new Camaro. He is going to take it to a gathering of car enthusiasts at a local restaurant, and we’re going to go look at it. I can’t wait to see it because it just so happens that he got the exact color and options I want, too. My hubby already got to take a ride in it and he said it was a very thrilling experience.
