Expanding My Frugal Universe

My Frugal Universe is just like the real Universe.

At first it was just a teeny, tiny little marble. I think maybe it was somewhere in my large intestine.  Real heavy.  Just floating around minding its own business. Not doing much of anything.

Then BOOM! POW! PLOOEY!

It exploded all over the place.  Aaaargh! It was kind of painful.   And messy.  Some things didn’t survive the eruption. You mean - spend less than I make? Just say no to making the minimum credit card payments? Pay cash for cars? Wait to buy anything until I can pay cash for it? Ouch.

Sometimes my Frugal Universe is pummeled by outside forces.  The Black Hole of Regret.  The Asteroid of Excess.  The Gamma Ray of Unplanned Expense. But there it goes - it just keeps unfurling, soaking up the bad stuff.  Nothing can stop it.

And it just keeps expanding and growing and pushing the darkness of overspending and bad money habits outward.

It’s exciting.  Because my Frugal Universe is limitless. The possibilities are endless.

The real Universe took billions of years to really get going.  Well, my Frugal Universe may take a long time to grow too.  But that’s ok.  One Day at A Time.  Patience, Grasshopper (heh heh that’s my homage to ’70’s television.  Wow, Valerie Bertinelli looks great.).

Maybe you suspect you have one of these baby Universes lurking inside of you.  It’s kind of scary.  You might feel more comfortable just keeping it in its small state.  But I say - go ahead, unclench.  Let ‘er rip.  You just never know what will happen.
